The EVI-D70P combine a high quality colour video camera with the flexibility of a remote pan/tilt/zoom operation, all in a compact easy-to-use package. Incorporating an 18x optical zoom lens, these cameras allow a user to zoom in on a small or distant object with exceptionnal clarity. 

Compared to his predecessor, the EVI-D31, the EVI-D70P camera offer a wide pan/tilt range, and a faster pan/tilt mechanism. 
Above all, these cameras are ceiling mountable - a first for the popular Sony EVI cameras. 

The EVI-D70P is equiped with a variety of convenient features such as auto ICR function, Alarm function and RS-232C/422 serial control , making them ideal for any remote shooting applications such as distance learning, indoor and outdoor security systems, courtrooms, event venues, concert halls, and more.

High resolution picture quality

The EVI-D70 achieves excellent picture quality of over 460 TV lines using a Sony 1/4-inch EXView HAD colour CCD.

High speed, wide range PTZ

2. A high speed pan & tilt provides maximum speeds up to 100° per second horizontally and 90 degrees per second vertically, together with a wide angle coverage of ±170 degrees horizontally, and -30 to 90 degrees vertically.

x18 Optical Zoom

A x18 optical zoom gives f=4.1 mm to 73.8 mm, and F1.4 to F3.0

Ceiling/Desktop Mountable

The EVI-D70P is at the same time ceiling and desktop mountable. This capability is unique in the Pan Tilt Zoom market.

Six position pre-set

Six pre-set positions can be programmed into the camera's memory.

Auto Tracking

Users can pre-define subjects to be continually tracked. Pixels of similar colour and brightness can be detected by the EVI-D31 and the target extracted using the subject model, based upon light reflection and non-linear camera processing. Four modes for pre-defining a subject are available - pan & tilt, auto zoom, auto exposure and motion detection.

RS-232C/RS-422 serial port

The RS-232C serial port allows the camera to be controlled from remote locations up to 15 meters, whereas the RS-422 (new!!!) allos the camera to be controlled from remote locations up to 1200 meters.

Plug and Play product: Various applications

Simple installation and operation, together with remote access control over the Internet, gives users flexibility and creativity for many creative applications.

Ceiling/Desktop mountable:

The new EVI-D70P camera is at the same time ceiling mountable and desktop, what represent a unique feature in this Pan Tilt Zoom market. In addition, a complete ceiling kit is provided with the camera.

Superb picture quality with Exview HAD CCD:

The adoption of Sony Exview had CCD improves basic camera performance. For example, these cameras offer superb sensitivity of 1 lux (typical), and a low smear level and D-range.

Auto ICR (IR Cut Filer Removal) Function:

The Auto ICR function automatically switches the settings to attach or remove the IR Cut filter is automatically disabled (ICR ON), and tghed infrazred sensitivity is increased. With a set level of brightness, the filter is automatically engageds depending on the ambient light, allowing the cameras to be effective both in day and night environments.

RS-232C or RS-422 Serial control (VISCA Command):

All cameras settings and pan/tilt/zoom functiolns can be con btrolled remotely via a PC. With the RS-232C connection , maximum cable lengh can be extented to 15 meters, while the RS-422 connection extends this further to 1200 meters.
